Guelph Black Heritage Society continues its celebration of freedom with a tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. on April 12. 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King was a minister and activist who led the civil rights movement in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s.

The evening will begin with a spoken word performance followed by a screening of the short film The Witness from the Balcony of Room 306. The evening will conclude with a performance by artist, singer and songwriter D’eve Archer.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., event starts at 7 p.m., $20 admission includes one drink ticket – Art Gallery of Guelph, 358 Gordon St., Guelph. Tickets are available at the door or online.
