Blue Rodeo frontman Jim Cuddy headlines Waterstock concert

Day-long concert in support of Water For Life Not Profit campaign

Blue Rodeo frontman Jim Cuddy will headline Waterstock, a day-long concert in Erin on Sunday, June 11.

The event is in support and awareness of protecting the province's water supply through the Water For Life Not Profit campaign.

Waterstock takes place at the Erin Fairgrounds from noon until 5 p.m.

The event, which features music and speakers, is being organized by Wellington Water Watchers and Riverfest Elora concert.

Other scheduled performers include Bry Webb of The Constantines, Harrow Fair (Miranda Mulholland) formerly of Great Lake Swimmers, Andrew Penner of Sunparlour Players, Reuben Bullock of Reuben and the Dark and Band of People. More acts are to be announced.

Speakers include The Water Bros. and Anita Stewart.

The event also includes food and artistic displays.

Children under 12 are free.

"After 10 years of diligent work to protect source water in Ontario, Waterstock is the rallying point to send a strong message to Premier Wynne to protect our water against corporate control and exploitation," says the event web site.
