OPP investigate fatal motor vehicle collision

BLIND RIVER - On March 19, 2016 at approximately 2:44 a.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI) were called to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 17 between the Town of Blind River and Mississauga First Nation.

A westbound vehicle struck the westbound guard rail, rolled several times before coming to a rest on the Blind River with a female driver being ejected.

The driver, Carla Agostini, 58 years of age, from Brampton, Ontario was pronounced dead at the scene.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting with this ongoing investigation and alcohol maybe a factor.
