Buffalo Wild Wings has flown the coop

Restaurant closes its doors after 10 years in Guelph

Wing lovers who have frequented Buffalo Wild Wings on Harvard Road will need to find a new go-to spot in the city.

Located in the Harvard Plaza on the corner of Harvard Road and Gordon Street, Buffalo Wild Wings closed its Guelph location on Sunday, Oct. 17. The sports bar first opened in 2011, serving Buffalo and New York-style chicken wings to the community, seven days a week for 10 years.

It was the second location to launch in Canada, but now a green garbage bin sits in the parking lot in front of the restaurant with chairs and tables.

On Monday, the patio outside of Buffalo Wild Wings was littered with empty chairs as many tables have been removed. Inside, there are sounds of power tools as workers can be seen removing TVs, tables and other portable items from within the restaurant.

One of the managers for Buffalo Wild Wings who was on site Monday declined to comment.

Requests for comment from Buffalo Wild Wings head office in Minnesota were also turned down.
