Bylaw and police responded to 32 calls for gatherings, laid one charge last week

City/police received 24 calls about businesses not following COVID guidelines

City of Guelph bylaw officers and Guelph police officers issued one charge to a business last week between April 27 to May 3. 

Two more charges are pending. 

City of Guelph bylaw officers and Guelph police officers responded to 32 calls for gatherings and 24 calls regarding businesses not following COVID-19 guidelines last week.

Guelph Campus Police issued no charges or fines.

Set fine for failure to comply with Reopening Ontario Act is $750 and obstructing anyone performing an activity or duty under the Reopening Ontario Act is $1,000.
