THORNHILL – CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO) is experiencing very high call volumes and increased wait times due to the extreme cold weather.

Blowing snow and impassable roads are making servicing our members in the North and West Grey Bruce region, along with areas north of Barrie difficult at times. Many roads in the area have been closed by local authorities.

CAA SCO is advising stranded CAA members in the area to contact the O.P.P. for assistance and advising all other motorists to remain at home or off the roads where possible.

CAA SCO thanks our members for their patience during this cold snap. We are currently servicing those stranded in the cold or safety related high priority calls first.

Due to the high call volumes, members are being reminded they can also request service through the CAA App, available for iOS or Android, or online. Members will need to enter their postal code.

Meanwhile, members can obtain their own service from an alternate tow provider and submit the receipt for reimbursement dependent on their coverage.

CAA South Central Ontario is a not-for-profit auto club offering roadside services, automotive care, travel and insurance. There are more than 1.9 million CAA members in South Central Ontario and over 5.9 million members in Canada.
