CHILDREN'S GROUNDWATER FESTIVAL
***************************
The Waterloo Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival will be held in person from Tuesday, June 6 to Friday, June 9, at Guelph Lake Conservation Area. For the first time since 2019, the festival will invite students from Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County to attend the festival at our new site to learn all about water through more than 50 hands-on activity centers.

After being forced to deliver online versions of the festival during the pandemic, the organizing committee is thrilled to be able to return to the in-person format that made it such a popular field trip for Grade 2 to 5 students for over 25 years.

For just $12 per child, including busing, students will be able to learn all about the water cycle, drinking water protection, conservation, water science and the importance of water for their day-long visit.

“The festival has been helping teachers convey the water curriculum to students for a long time, and we’re excited to be able to offer it as an in-person event again, which enhances the learning experience,” said festival executive director Beatriz Gomez.

Teachers are encouraged to book early at cgf.com as space is limited and will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please visit the website for more information or contact [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you at Guelph Lake in 2023.
