NEWS RELEASE

CITY OF GUELPH

*************************
Collective bargaining continues on February 24, 25 and 26 between the City and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 231 representing the City’s paramedics.

The City values the important work paramedics do, and aims to negotiate an agreement that is fair to its employees, affordable for Guelph citizens, and aligns with other City employee groups’ contracts.

Community safety is a priority; ambulance services will not be affected during contract negotiations.

The contract for Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services’ 157 full- and part-time paramedics ended in March 2015.

Updates on the contract negotiations will be posted on guelph.ca/opseu.
