NEWS RELEASE

CITY OF GUELPH

*************************
Guelph is working on its Natural Heritage Action Plan, and seeking community input.

Ultimately, the action plan will:

  • identify and prioritize Guelph’s environmental and natural heritage goals
  • develop actions to encourage healthy communities
  • create a framework for Guelph’s Official Plan policies specific to the natural heritage system and watershed planning as they relate to climate change and sustainability planning

To get started, the City would like people to take a short survey to explain why natural heritage is important to them. The City plans to use community input to help define major themes of the action plan and create more community engagement activities later this year.
