NEWS RELEASE
THE CLOTHING CLOSET
***************************
“The Clothing Closet is Guelph’s distribution centre of FREE quality used clothing, says Lisa Burke, Coordinator of the Clothing Closet at New Life Church.  “We offer good quality clothing for the whole family in a thrift store environment to help people stretch their budgets. These days, just about everyone can benefit from sharing.”

Our donors want to share their clothing with others to lighten the financial load that some of us are bearing. Said a donor recently, “As I’m packing the donations up, I’m just grateful to know that someone can just come and pick it up for free.  It makes me feel very happy.”

Our volunteers are meticulous about quality and only display the best items. Often, we have great brand names; sometimes, we even have new items. Volunteers keep it fresh by removing unwanted items frequently. New items go out prior to each opening.

To respond to people’s covid-related concerns, we have refined our displays to help people quickly find what they’re looking for. Capacity limits remain low. Self-check out is very quick.

The Closet, as it is affectionately known, is open every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to noon AND 5 – 7 p.m.

DONATIONS:
The Clothing Closet gratefully accepts in-season clean, quality clothing and linens, which can be dropped off Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and Thursdays 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. & 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., at New Life Church, 400 Victoria Rd. N, Guelph. Please do not leave donations outside.
