Collision on Highway 6 sends three to hospital

PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP – On Dec. 6, 2016 at approximately 6:50 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded along with Puslinch Fire and Rescue Services and Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a three-vehicle collision on Highway 6 south of Concession 1, Puslinch Township. 

A GMC SUV was travelling south and a dump truck, followed by a Mitsubishi, was travelling north when the collision occurred. 

The driver of the GMC suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and the passenger suffered minor injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to a Hamilton hospital. 

The driver of the Mitsubishi suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. 

Highway 6 is closed between Maddaugh Road/Flamborough –Puslinch Townline and Concession 1, Puslinch Township.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by Wellington County OPP. The Wellington County OPP is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision to please call 1-888-310-1122.
