Council awarded the multi-year contract for dust control services to Da-Lee Dust Control and Pollard Distribution, and awarded B&B Crushing for the gravel crushing services

WELLINGTON NORTH - Council has decided to award its dust control and gravel crushing services to Da-Lee Dust Control, Pollard Distribution, and B&B Crushing.

At Monday night’s meeting, council awarded the multi-year contract for dust control services for the years of 2022, 2023, 2024 to Da-Lee Dust Control for the 35 per cent calcium chloride solution, and Pollard Distribution for the 20 per cent calcium magnesium chloride solution. 

Meanwhile, B&B Crushing was awarded the gravel crushing services for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024. 

The township received three submissions prior to closing the tender for dust control services for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024: Pollard Distribution, Da-Lee Dust Control and 552976 Ontario Ltd. Submissions were reviewed by the township staff and evaluated each of their bidding. 

Da-Lee Dust Control was the lowest cost that met the bidding for 35 per cent calcium chloride solution, and Pollard Distribution had the lowest bidding for 20 per cent calcium magnesium chloride solution. 

Meanwhile, the request for tender for gravel crushing services for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024, and had four bid takers. The township received one submission prior to closing the tender which was B&B Crushing, and they had the lowest cost that met the bid requirements.
