Edinburgh Road South will be closed from Forest Street to Dean Avenue, both north and south bound traffic, for approximately the next five hours.
This closure is due to downed hydro wires from a single motor vehicle collision that occurred this afternoon at approximately 12:45 p.m.
The driver of the motor vehicle has been transported to the Guelph General Hospital by paramedics.
Guelph Hydro service crews are on scene attending to the downed wires. Guelph Police are continuing with investigation.
