Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington are partnering with the Guelph Police Service to host a free event this month about cyber safety and human trafficking.

The hybrid event will be held at 7 p.m. on May 18 at the Guelph Public Library on 100 Norfolk St, though participants can also join virtually.

During the hour long presentation, CSGW member Sarah Bowers-Peter and GPS detective constable Hugh Currie from the internet exploitation unit will share how to talk to children of all ages about staying safe when using social media and the internet.

Questions from parents and guardians are welcome.
