Deceased identified in recent fatal Hwy 6 collision

WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP — At approximately 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 8, 2019, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious multi-vehicle collision on Highway 6 just south of Arthur. It was reported that a number of vehicles had collided during white-out conditions.

OPP, Wellington North Fire Service and Guelph-Wellington Paramedics Service responded. 66-year-old Robert William Crosby of Dundalk was pronounced dead at scene. Four others received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals.

OPP along with the West Region Technical Collision Investigators are correctly investigating and are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the events or were in the area to contact Wellington County OPP.

Police are also looking to speak with the driver of a white work/cube van travelling through the area at that time. (photograph attached). If you recognize this van or have information regarding this incident contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
