Demonstration for fossil free U of G set for Wednesday

U of G's board of governors is meeting later that day to make a decision

Fossil Free Guelph has organized a demonstration at the University of Guelph Wednesday to demand that the U of G divest itself of investment in fossil fuel companies.

The universitites board of governors is meeting that afternoon to make a decision on the request made last year that they divest from fossil fuel companies.

The demonstration startsa at noon in Branion Plaza then will march to where the board of governors are meeting at 1 p.m.

The U of G has $38 million in 41 different fossil fuel companies.
