Dear Editor,
The Guelph Community has supported campaigns of the Ontario Health Coalition for years as we all want to do something to protect the rights of all Canadians to essential health care services offered by hospitals and physicians, regardless of income.
Currently the provincial cuts, in this ninth year of cuts, are affecting these services and it must stop to protect the Medicare Act itself.
The stories we are hearing indicate that the government is not using root cause analysis to sift criteria to meet people’s needs and is therefore, funding the wrong priorities.
There is now an opportunity to vote in a provincial-wide volunteer led Referendum to stop the cuts. I have included all of the voting stations for Guelph Wellington and times below for advance polls up to May 28.
