The Co-operators Group is pleased to partner with Green Propeller Recycling to host a child car seat drop-off day this Friday from noon until 4 p.m. Used child car seats can be dropped off for recycling at the office of Co-operators advisor David Bruce located at 218 Silvercreek Parkway.
The usual $15 recycling fee will be waived for the drop-off event. As an added bonus, a free barbecue will take place from noon until 1:30 p.m., thanks to sponsorship from UPS, Food Basics and The Co-operators.
Every year, an estimated 250,000 child car seats end up in landfills in Ontario alone. The Co-operators’ partnership with Green Propeller Recycling, the only not-for-profit child car seat recycling facility in Ontario, allows residents to drop off their used child car seats at local Co-operators advisors’ offices to be recycled.
As an organization committed to making a positive social and environmental impact, The Co-operators is pleased to support Green Propeller’s dual mission of recycling child car seats while providing job opportunities to people who face barriers to employment.
