Elora teen who rallied the community dies from rare cancer

A fundraiser in support of Sick Kids held by Team Addy over the weekend is set to raise over $100,000

ELORA – A young girl from Elora diagnosed with a rare form of cancer who rallied the community to raise money for sarcoma cancer research has died. 

Addison Hill’s family, confirmed her passing on the Team Addy Instagram page on Sunday. Addison Hill, better known as Addy, had just recently turned 14. She was diagnosed with angiosarcoma in 2021 after a lump was found in her breast.

A Team Addy fundraiser event which included a basketball tournament and auction held over the weekend is on track to raise over $100,000 for the Sick Kids Foundation.
