NEWS RELEASE
UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH
*************************
The Arboretum is offering a mushroom workshop on Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Participants will explore the mysterious, weird and wonderful world of fungi!

The course is open to students of any skill level, with the assumption that most will be beginners. Past courses have been taught in October, when mushrooms are most abundant.

However, this year the course will focus on the seasonal changes in mushroom diversity. The course will be divided into five Saturday morning forays about a month apart on the following dates: July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, and Nov. 9.

Participants may sign up for one or more, or all forays. If participants are taking more than one course than it is recommended they spread them out in order to see the greatest diversity. The morning foray will be followed by an identification session.

Guest Instructor Tim Myles will lead the workshop. The early bird workshop fee is $50 + H.S.T. (plus a $10 transaction fee) per person when you register by Friday, July 5. After that date the fee is $60 plus H.S.T. and the transaction fee.

Registration is online. For further information, please call The Arboretum at 519-824-4120 ext. 52358.
