On March 25 2019 at 9:14 p.m., the Guelph Fire Department responded to a reported fire at 7793 Eastview Road. Units from Headquarters, Speedvale, Elizabeth, and mutual aid from Rockwood Eramosa arrived at the scene and found a fully involved structure fire

The fire was brought under control and subsequently extinguished. There were no injuries to firefighting personnel.

The cause of the fire along with an estimate of damage is still under investigation. Fire Prevention was contacted and attended the scene. Firefighters remain on scene extinguishing hot spots.

Fire crews from several fire departments were battling a major house fire just east of Guelph late Monday night.

The fire was still raging at 11 p.m. at 7793 Eastview Road, halfway between Watson Parkway and Jones Baseline in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

The call regarding a single residential fire came in at roughly 9 p.m. Crews from Guelph-Eramosa and the Guelph Fire Department were on scene.

The large home was set back roughly 250 yards from Eastview Road on the south side.

No further details were immediately available.
