The former Jehovah’s Witnesses hall in the city’s north end is slated to become home to a chiropractic clinic.

City council unanimously approved the proposal for 639 Eramosa Rd. during its Tuesday evening meeting. The land use designation was changed to mixed office/commercial from low density residential and zoning was switched to “specialized office residential” from “educational, spiritual and other services.”

There was no council discussion ahead of the decision; city staff recommended approval.

The property is located on the south side of Eramosa Road, between Victoria Road North and Speedvale Avenue East.

No opposition to the conversion plan came forward during a public meeting held this past September.
