Fountain Street break-in leads to fraud, crystal meth arrests

On June 4, 2016, the Guelph Police investigated a break and enter at a Fountain Street residence. 

The break in occurred sometime overnight on June 3, entry was gained through a kitchen window.  

Police investigation identified the suspects after they used credit cards stolen from the break and enter. 

Members of the Guelph Police Special Projects, and High Enforcement Action Team located and arrested two parties in relation to the offences and executed two search warrants at the their respective addresses.

A quantity of crystal methamphetamine was located on one of the accused parties during the arrest.

A quantity of stolen property has been recovered and the investigation is ongoing.

Karen Wesley, 38 years of Guelph, has been charged with break and enter, use stolen credit card x7, fraud under $5,000 x7 and possession of property obtained by crime.

Dillon Popyk, 28 years of Guelph, has been charged with break and enter, possession of a controlled substance, use stolen credit card x7, fraud under $5,000 x7 and possession of property obtained by crime.
