Two local companies - WIKE and Insitu Contractors - will be giving away free bicycle lights this weekend.
The two companies have purchased 2,000 bicycle lights (pairs of one white light and one red light) which will be given away to cyclists that don't have lights.
Lights will be given away both Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot north of the Speed River on the east side of Gordon Street and at the driveway to Royal City Park on the west side of the street in Guelph.
Signs will be set up beside the road.
