Riverside Park about to get picked clean

On Saturday, April 23, more than 875 participants will help make Guelph a little greener during the 13th annual Guelph Clean and Green Community Cleanup—one of the city’s largest community environmental cleanup events.

Cleanup participants will spend three hours on Saturday morning, beginning at 8:30 a.m., picking up litter along Guelph’s streets, green spaces, and in community parks. Last year, more than 3,000 kilograms of litter was collected.

The cleanup ends with a free, celebration barbecue lunch in Riverside Park at noon for all participants.

Mayor Cam Guthrie will say a few words to thank all participants and sponsors for helping to keep Guelph clean.
