Frost advisory in effect for:

  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo
  • Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County

Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

A strong high pressure centre will settle across Southern Ontario tonight. A chilly night is in store with clear skies and light winds aiding in temperatures falling to near the freezing mark in many regions, especially those away from the Great Lakes.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
