The popular Hot Summer Nights events are returning to Guelph parks this summer.
The Guelph Fire Department plans on having the hoses out for the four Hot Summer Nights events this summer, which include letting children play in the water as well as giving people the opportunity to meet first responders and learn about fire safety, accident prevention and check out the fire trucks.
Last year the water aspect couldn't happen because of water restrictions at the time.
Fire Chief John Osborne said each night's event will depend on the water situation in the city at the time, but the plan is to have the hoses out at each event.
The dates and times are:
July 6: Margaret Greene Park
July 20: Exhibition Park (near wading pool)
Aug. 3: Waverley Drive Park (near splash pad)
Aug. 17: Riverside Park (near carousel)
All events are set to start at 6:30 p.m. until 7:45 p.m.
