A fun and inspirational evening is planned to raise awareness and support of the Start2Finish Running and Reading Clubs (Guelph). In just two short hours on the evening of Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, you will hear readings and learn how books have influenced local community leaders and members. You will also have the opportunity to hear about how reading can change the lives of children living in economically challenged neighbourhoods.
Come be inspired by the readers and stirred by the challenges that our Guelph children face but are overcoming through mentorship at local Start2Finish Running and Reading Clubs. Wendy Banks, Start2Finish Guelph regional cabinet member, says that you will come away with a new appreciation that the role of simple mentorship, literacy and fitness have.
Every day Start2Finish helps give children the building blocks to graduate. We empower children with the tools to succeed so they can create the 'Cycle of Success' for a lifetime. Untold Guelph children have more challenges than many of us recognize and the Start2Finish Running and Reading Clubs offer a real and scientifically proven solution.
