GRCA offering free webinar series for rural landowners

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is offering a series of online webinars this winter with a focus on sharing information about how rural landowners can protect and enhance the natural features on their property.

These free virtual sessions have been designed for rural landowners with properties larger than 2.5 acres. Topics will include information on the GRCA’s tree planting program, invasive species such as gypsy moth and oak wilt, species at risk in the Grand River watershed as well as available funding programs for best management practices on farms.

The online workshops will take place between 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Jan. 27 - GRCA Tree Planting Program
  • Feb. 10 – Invasive Tree Diseases and Pests
  • Feb. 24 – Aquatic Species at Risk in the Grand River Watershed
  • March 10 – The Rural Water Quality Program

Participation in these workshops is free but advance registration is required.
