Members of the public are invited to read and comment on the proposed updates to the Drinking Water Source Protection Plan for the Grand River watershed. The plan has been prepared under the Clean Water Act, 2006 to protect municipal sources of drinking water and ensure their sustainable use into the future.

The Source Protection Program is designed with continuous improvements in mind. These updates to the Grand River Source Protection Plan are proposed as a result of the completion of a technical study in the Town of Grand Valley, Dufferin County, for the inclusion of a new municipal supply well.

This study provides a measured assessment of current and future sustainability of sources of municipal drinking water in light of growth and development. The results of this study have been included in the draft Updated Source Protection Plan.

Learn more about the Plan

The draft updated plan is now available for review online at www.sourcewater.ca/GR-SPP-Update. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, viewing the Plan in person is not currently possible.
