The Guelph Chamber Choir will perform Bach’s St. John Passion on Saturday at the River Run Centre. They will be accompanied by Musica Viva Orchestra.

A news release from the choir describes the performance as "a work of impassioned drama, aesthetic refinement and deep religious sentiment, the St. John Passion moves beyond compositional brilliance."

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Some of Canada’s finest soloists will also join the choir and orchestra.  Local soprano Sheila Dietrich, mezzo-soprano Jennifer Enns Modolo, tenor James McLean, bass baritone Daniel Lichti and baritone Gordon Burnett will all take part.

Tickets are available from choir or board members, through the River Run Centre by calling 519-763-3000 or online directly at http://riverrun.ca/whats-on/gcc-st-john-passion. More information is available at www.guelphchamberchoir.ca .
