With the leaves changing, the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation is hosting an upcoming ride through some of the best spots in the city to see the fall colours.

On Saturday, the GCAT will be hosting the Guelph Fall Colours Bike Ride to celebrate the beauty of fall and gather with other riders. This event is family-friendly and dressing up in fall colours is strongly encouraged, says a release from the organization about the event.

Starting at 12:30 p.m., participants will meet at Fixed Gear on Alma Street, where they can join in either one of two bike tours happening at 1 p.m.

The first route is an over 5 kilometre trail going through tree-lined residential streets in Guelph. Those looking for a challenge can participate in the second route, which is over 11 kilometres long and goes through the Arboretum. Both routes start and end at Fixed Gear.

After both routes are completed, door prizes will be given away. Anyone who is interested in joining the event will need to register before Oct. 15. To sign up, click here.
