Guelph General Hospital is a dynamic, comprehensive acute care hospital providing a full range of services to residents of Guelph, Wellington and the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network. Services include 24-hour emergency coverage, advanced technology and diagnostic support, as well as specialty surgical programs and inpatient and outpatient services.
The delivery of healthcare services in Ontario is being transformed. Governing Guelph General Hospital through these changing times is a dynamic, volunteer Board of Directors. We are seeking interested and dedicated individuals to help guide us towards achieving our new vision of: Exceptional Care - Innovative Partnerships - Healthier Communities
We welcome applicants who reflect the diversity of our community and have demonstrated senior leadership and board experience. We are searching for individuals with previous board experience with expertise in the following areas:
- Patient and healthcare advocacy
- Legal
The Board is responsible for the overall governance of the affairs of the Guelph General Hospital. In addition to attending monthly Board meetings, members also take part in one or more Board Committees that focus on specific areas of the hospital's activities. Committees of the Board include a focus on audit, governance, quality, human resources, finances and facilities.
We are also seeking individuals to sit on one of our committees as a community member.
As a contributor at the Board level, you will provide your professional knowledge and governance expertise to policy formation, decision-making and oversight of quality of care and financial viability.
