A Guelph man has been missing since he set off on a hike Friday at Joshua Tree National Park in California.
KESQ News Channel 3 is reporting that Paul Miller, age 51, was last seen by his wife when he set out on a hike at the 49 Palms Oasis trail head. His car has been found at the parking lot for the trail.
Miller is a white male, 5'5" in height and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
Between 30 and 40 searchers have been combing the area, supported by a police helicopter and canine units, a public information officer for the park told KESQ. Temperatures on the trail have reached 110 degrees Fahrenheit over the past few days.
The trail remains closed as the search continues.
