Guelph's Andrea Seccafien saw her Olympic dream come to an end Tuesday morning in Rio.
The Bishop Macdonell high school grad and former University of Guelph runner finished 11th in her semifinal of the 5,000 metre event and did not advance to the final. Top 10 make the final.
Seccafien finished in a time of 15:30.32 which was six tenths of a second behind 10th place finisher Mimi Belete of Bahrain.
Seccafien's time was almost 13 seconds slower than her personal best of 15:17.81 set earlier this year.
