Guelph Police show their support for hospital staff (4 photos)

Cruisers show up in an impromptu show of appreciation and support for what their fellow front line workers are doing

It got a little loud outside Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday morning.

Members of the Guelph Police Service showed up in force, lining up their cruisers, lights flashing, lots of applause and the odd siren blast as a show of appreciation and support for hospital staff.

There were roughly 25 officers and a dozen different police vehicles in attendance.

Many staff members exited the building, took photos and applauded their fellow front-line workers. Some held up a sign that read "Thank you too!" as the cruisers exited the drive-thru area in front of the hospital entrance on Delhi Street.

"It was just something we put together quickly," said Const. Kyle Grant. "We've seen other places do similar things, so we thought we'd come out today as a show of support for the hospital staff who are doing such a great job."
