The Guelph Skating Club is inviting friends, family, and the public to their highly anticipated ice show, 'Boom Box Party', on Sunday, April 2 at 1 p.m.

The event will take place at the Sleeman Centre and will feature more than 60 local skaters of all levels showcasing their talents in solo and group performances, the club said in a news release.

"After facing multiple disruptions to our performance opportunities over the past few years, we are thrilled to have completed a full season of training and competing," said Kelly Shock, program director for the Guelph Skating Club.

"Our skaters have made tremendous progress this season, and we are excited to celebrate their achievements at the year-end ice show."

The ice show is the highlight of the skating year and a popular event for the Guelph community.

"This year's show promises to be a truly entertaining afternoon, featuring colourful costumes, adorable group numbers featuring our youngest skaters, and excellent solo or group performances featuring our more seasoned skaters," said Leah Smeaton, ice show committee member. "We encourage everyone to attend and enjoy the show."

The event is open to the public, and tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 through the Guelph Skating Club website guelphskating.ca or at the door (cash or e-transfer only).
