A group of Guelph high school student got a brush with fame and a big shoutout on Twitter Thursday when they ran into famous Scottish actor Gerard Butler.
The students, from various Guelph high schools, were in New York on a field trip as part of the Beyond Borders leadership program.

Butler tweeted out the meeting to his 500,000 followers and also on his Instagram account.
As of Friday morning the video had 30,000 views.
