Guelph Transit is asking transit customers locations they prefer to load their reloadable fare card before it launches later this year.

The online survey asks past and present users to choose from locations options such as online, telephone, in person at a city facility, self-serve kiosk, or other.

In the works for three years, Guelph Transit's transit operations manager, Jason Simmons says the new card is in the first phase of implementation.

“The new card has many benefits including convenience to add value on the card in person or online,” said Simmons.

“Customers can choose to reload them online and it eliminates the need to line up each month at city facilities or retailers to purchase a monthly pass.”

Simmons said cash fares will still be accepted and paper tickets will eventually fade out once the new cards are available.

Participants of the survey are eligible to win a monthly transit pass.
