It's another sign of summer in Guelph: splash pads around the city are opening this weekend.
The pads at a number of local parks open for the season starting Saturday. This includes Waverley Park, Jubilee Park, Northview Park, the South End Splash Pad, Norm Jarry Park and Hanlon Creek Park. The hours for splash pads are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition, the city said wading pools are getting ready to open.
The Sunny Acres Wading Pool opens Saturday, and will operate on weekends until June 30, when it and Exhibition Park's wading pool will open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At Market Square, it's wading pool runs 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. beginning June 17.
It will also operate on weekends until June 30, when it will open daily for the remainder of the season.
