Guelph Police Service statistics for the first nine months of 2016 show that the intersection of Edinburgh Road and Wellington Street had the most reported collisions so far.

That intersection had 22 collisions. Runner up was Edinburgh Road/Stone Road with 21 and in third place was Gordon Street/Wellington Street with 20.

From January to September, there were 2,040 collisions reported, down 98 from over the same time period last year.

Worst time frame – between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Worst time frame – between 12 a.m. and 3 a.m.

Worst days – Saturday and Sunday

Collisions involving pedestrians - 21

Worst day for pedestrians – Tuesday and Saturday

Worst time for pedestrians – between 9 a.m. and noon

Collisions involving cyclists – 34

Worst day for cyclists – Thursday and Friday

Worst time for cyclists – between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
