Hamilton man charged with impaired by drug and trafficking
PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP –On July 10, 2016 at approximately 3:25 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) was called to investigate a 2005 Honda that was in a ditch on Highway 6 near Leslie Road, Puslinch Township.
Police found a man attempting to drive the vehicle out of the ditch and believed that he was impaired by a drug.
He was arrested and during the search of the vehicle, suspected heroin, marijuana, psilocybin (mushrooms) and hydromphone was located, along with items associated with drug trafficking.
He was brought to a local OPP Operations Centre.
33-year-old Ryan McKechnie, of Hamilton, is charged with;
- Care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs-Criminal Code (C.C.)
- Possession heroin for the purpose of trafficking - Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (C.D.S.A.)
- Possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking-under 3kg - C.D.S.A.
- Possession of psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking-C.D.S.A.
- Possession of a hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking-C.D.S.A.
He appeared in WASH Court on July 10, 2016.
