“Yer a wizard, Harry.”

For the first time, the Guelph Public Library is hosting a Harry Potter-themed Escape Room in honour of J.K. Rowling’s birthday on July 31.

The escape room will be held for pre-teens from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and for adults from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m and will entail being locked inside a classroom for detention with professor Umbridge who is determined to make everyone’s life miserable.

Participants will be divided into groups and will enter the room at a specific time.

Registration for the escape room is free and must be done in person at the main library and will be taken care of on a first come first serve basis 30 minutes before the event.

The library will also be hosting several arts and craft events throughout the day.
