Home sales up in Guelph and area in March, despite COVID-19

The Guelph and District Association of Realtors reports that home sales were up in March, despite COVID-19. 

There were a total of 284 residential unit sales in the month of March 2020. This marks an increase from March 2019 of 15.9 per cent.

The annual price of home was a record $613,337 this past month, down from last month's record-breaking $637,201, but up from the previous year.

In March 2020:

  • 284 residential units were sold
  • $613,337 was the average price of homes sold
  • 411 new residential listings were posted

In February 2020:

  • 256 residential units were sold
  • $637,201 was the average price of homes sold
  • 324 new residential listings were posted

To compare, in March 2019:

  • 240 residential units were sold
  • $535,444 was the average price of homes sold
  • 274 new residential listings were posted
