Homeowners report garage rummaging spree to police

Suspicious activity

On the morning of March 2, 2016 Guelph Police were called to a Maple Street address where there was a report of a break and enter. 

Investigation revealed that an unknown individual had entered several unlocked garage doors in the area of Maple Street, Echo Drive and Bellevue Street. 

At this point, nothing has been reported as stolen, but multiple residents confirmed that someone was rummaging through their belongings.  

Residential break and enters where the culprit has entered through an unlocked garage door is a common occurrence. 

Please be vigilant and ensure all doors and windows are locked.
