The Guelph Police Service says it is conducting an investigation in the area of Willow Road and Bagot Street after an unconfirmed report of a person with a weapon in the area.
Around four police cars and a K9 unit were on scene as of 11:45 a.m.
There is no known threat to the public, police said in a tweet.
