Innovation Guelph announced three winners for the Rhyze Ventures competition Thursday evening.
The competition began with 56 participants and saw nine finalists competing in the Rhyze & Shine Pitch Competition which is created by female entrepreneurs for female entrepreneurs.
A winner was selected from each business stream. The winners are:
1) Scalable Business Stream: Le Luong – Nurture Growth Bio Fertilizer
2) Social Enterprise Stream: Malissa Bryan – Rainbow Diversity Institute
3) Small Business Stream: Amanda Worr – Tiny Kind Toys
There is no first, second or third place among the winners. The final three winners will work with a negotiation expert next week to distribute the $25,000 in alignment with SheEO’s consensus-based decision-making model to ensure that the funds are distributed based on need, are not evenly distributed and no one receives less than three per cent of the funding.
