Bracelet of Hope is hosting a one of a kind event - our Women to Women event - on Sunday, May 15 from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. at Apartment 58, Guelph.
Women to Women is a pop up boutique, a great afternoon of shopping, jewellery making and best of all, celebrating, empowering and supporting women worldwide!
Tickets include appetizers, a beverage and admission to our Pop Up Boutique which has beautiful clothing, scarves, purses, shoes and jewellery.
Create your own bracelet from handmade Lesotho beads or bid on some gorgeous jewellery handcrafted by fine Canadian artisans!
Join us any time throughout the day, but don’t miss our big surprise at 2 p.m.!
The Women to Women event is a fundraiser to raise awareness and funds to support women and girls affected by HIV/AIDS in Guelph and Lesotho, Africa.
According to the United Nations, Lesotho has the highest rape rate in the world.
One study in Lesotho found that 61 percent of women reported having experienced sexual violence at some point in their lives.
Last year we had over one hundred women attend the event.
This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 to provide education, health and wellness, safety, a stable home, emotional support and a brighter future for the women and girls of Lesotho.
Bracelet of Hope is a grassroots; Guelph-based charity founded in 2005, and is committed to ending the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Lesotho.
Our vision, to see one African country AIDS free, is supported through three pillars - health, homes and jobs, and collaborative engagement with the people of Lesotho.
