Are you wanting to clear out some clutter, while knowing your unwanted items are being used by others in need? Take it to the curb this weekend, during a community-wide re-use effort known as Goods Exchange Weekend.
The event runs from 5 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Monday.
A post on the city website offers the following advice:
- If you wish to give items away, clearly label them as “free”
- Move bikes, toys and gardening tools away from the curb to prevent misunderstandings
All leftover items must be removed from the curb by 7 p.m. on Monday. Large items left there may be subject to fines under the city’s waste management bylaw.
