Queer literature is fundamental to the affirmation and celebration of queer culture and LGBTQA+ lives are enriched when our stories are written, read and shared.

Join us for PrideLit, an evening of book discussions hosted by the Guelph Public Library in association with House of Anansi Press Inc. and Vocamus Press.

This event will take place on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Main Library (100 Norfolk Street) from 7 to 9 p.m.

Join Andrea Perry, local poet and author of Rise, who will present a poetry reading and an excerpt from her upcoming novel.

Meet Zoe Whittall, author of several novels, poetry books and most recently the Giller shortlisted, The Best Kind of People – which is soon to be a film by Sarah Polley.

Her second novel “Holding Still for as Long as Possible” won a LAMDA literary award and was a Stonewall Honor Book.

Her first novel, “Bottle Rocket Hearts” is currently being adapted for TV. In 2018, she won a Canadian Screen Award for best comedy writing for “The Baroness Von Sketch Show,” and has worked on Degrassi, Schitt's Creek and more.

Don’t miss this awe-inspiring book discussion.
